Web app or mobile app: which should you build first?
Both have a place. For most early products, one is faster and cheaper to learn from.

The right answer depends on what your users do and where they do it, not on which one sounds more impressive.
Start with a web app when
- You want to launch quickly and update often.
- Users are on desktops or need a link to start.
- You need to be found through search.
- You are still testing whether people want it.
Start with a mobile app when
The product depends on the camera, location, notifications or offline use, or people will open it many times a day. Even then, a responsive web version can be a cheap way to validate the idea first.
