Tailwind CSS: the honest trade-offs
It speeds up most teams. It also changes how your markup looks. Here is what to expect.

Tailwind lets you style elements with small utility classes directly in your markup. Teams tend to love it or dislike it, so it helps to know why.
What it does well
- Fast to build and iterate without naming things.
- A consistent scale for spacing, colour and type.
- Small CSS output, since only used classes ship.
- Styles live next to the component they affect.
What to watch
Long class lists can get noisy, so extract repeated patterns into components rather than copying strings around. Agree on a few conventions early and it stays tidy.
