Rebuild or redesign: how to decide
A fresh coat of paint and a new foundation solve different problems. Know which one you need.

Teams often say they need a redesign when the real issue sits under the surface, or the reverse. The symptoms point to which one it is.
A redesign is probably enough if
- The site is fast and stable, but looks dated.
- The message or layout does not convert as well as it should.
- The code is reasonably clean and easy to change.
A rebuild is probably needed if
- Simple changes take days or break other things.
- The platform is unsupported, or insecure.
- Pages are slow for reasons you cannot fix without changing the foundation.
Either way, protect what already works: keep URLs that rank, set up redirects, and migrate the content that earns traffic.
